What is a Live Read?

Have you ever wanted a commercial that doesn’t sound like a commercial?  A “Live Read” is a message that the radio station DJ delivers outside of a regular commercial break.  Live Reads can be a great element to an ad campaign.

There are several different types of reads available.

Promotional Reads

Part of being a successful radio station means having exciting listener driven promotions that, often, include clients. When the station(s) partners with businesses and put on a promotion, the DJ’s help build traffic and excitement with “promotional liners” leading up to the promotion. This can come in the form of the simple, “who, what, when and where” or ad-libbed conversations on air.

Event Reads

This is when there is an event coming up and the DJ’s talk about it throughout the week(s) leading up. This is a great way to promote your business and the event, plus remind people of what you have to offer.
